Structural engineers for the refurbishment of a 1930’s town house in Norbiton for an architect client.
This included a loft conversion and ground floor rear extension. The loft conversion was designed to maximise floor to ceiling height and use as few steel beams as possible to keep build costs down. Using the Mantel Panel System SIPs for the main walls and roof allowed the building to take its innovative structural form. TA were appointed to act as the client’s engineer. We coordinated various sub-contractor-designed packages, and we designed the foundations and internal structural elements that were not part of the sub-contractor designed packages.
